I am not a fan of routines. I get bored easily, so it normally makes me happy when my days are switched up. After my fitness regime has started, that has changed. We were dealing with a move last week so it completely took me off track. We were eating out every night and I had 10 days off from the gym. I noticed a difference in how I felt during the day, and slept at night. It was all good when I was downing those sriracha bbq wings from Balan’s (with the sauce on the side), but I swear after they digested, I felt horrible. Now, I’ll still have my chicken wings, but it feels so much better when I have them once or twice a week and I’m working out 6 days a week.

After the madness last week, I made it back to the gym this morning. Starting my morning with a workout snapped my body back to reality. My mood was better today (less irritable than I have been). I also unconsciously went back to controlling what I allowed in my body. Also, for the first time EVER…(about to act like I haven’t just been working out for two weeks), I burned 614 cals in the gym today! Now that’s progress. I don’t know why, but when I burn 200 calories and eat all of these “small protein packed meals,” I feel like nothing is happening because I still burned a small amount. Now that I know can burn 500 cals in 30 minutes on the elliptical, I know what I’ll be doing on gym days.

Of course I didn’t stay on one machine the whole time.
